CHRIS CHASTAIN

Born and raised in Southern California, Chris grew up with a surfboard under one arm and a fishing rod under the other. The ocean was his first obsession—he spent countless hours chasing waves along the Southern California coast and exploring the back bays, lakes, and rivers in search of fish. That early love for the water shaped everything that followed.

In 2008, Chris relocated to Park City to raise his growing family. The rivers of Utah quickly became his new passion, and he immersed himself in fly fishing, learning every bend, hatch, and holding lie across the region. In 2015, Salt Lake City Magazine named him "Best Fishing Guide," recognizing what local anglers already knew: Chris had become one of the most sought-after guides in the area.

His reputation has been built on return clients and word-of-mouth referrals, because people genuinely enjoy their time on the water with him. Beyond guiding, Chris is a family man at heart—he has seven children and is now a grandfather. When he is not on the river, you will find him fishing, surfing, or spending time with his family.
